Frequently Asked Questions
How long do you take to come up with a
web design or print design?
The time take taken to complete a new project depends on the
size of the project and the status of pending projects.
Normally, most projects get completed in 4 -6 weeks. Rush
projects can be considered depending on the situation.
What is the basis for charging and pricing? Are projects
costed per man hour or a fixed price regardless of the number
of people, or only time and material?
Both fixed price projects and projects priced on time and
material are possible. We usually agree to fixed price
projects where the scope of the project and the requirements
are explicit.
How do I pay you?
You can pay us through credit card, Paypal, or bank
transfer.
What are your payment terms?
We usually request for a 30% down payment and the balance
payment is linked to pre-decided milestones during the
project.
What is the range of the potential cost savings if I
outsource to India?
Costs are 40 - 70% lower in India. On an average you can
expect a cost saving of around 50% as compared to the costs
for similar projects in the United States.
How are such low costs possible?
These cost savings are possible primarily because of
relatively low labor costs in India. India's labor cost is
1/5th to 1/8th of that of United States.
If labor costs are so low why do I get just 50% saving in
some cases?
Labor costs are a part of the total operational costs, the
others being infrastructure, telecommunications and project
management related costs. Savings due to lower labor costs are
passed on to the client.
What kind of Infrastructure do you have in place?
All our team members have the latest in computing and
communication equipment in place when it comes to our field of
expertise which includes web design, graphics, print design,
flash animation, 3D modeling, multimedia, custom content
creation, web marketing, web maintenance and email handling.
How do you communicate with clients?
The various channels of communication used by us include
telephone, web based chats, instant messaging, email etc.
Is language an issue?
English is the language of business in India. Most schools and
universities use English as the medium of instruction and
Indian staff are very comfortable with English. Companies that
offer call center kind of services to international clients
provide accent training to the staff so that they are
comfortable with American/ European accents and in turn the
customers are also comfortable with the accent of the Indian
call center agents.
What sort of project management team do you have in place?
Most software and services projects undertaken by us are
assigned a project leader, who in turn has a team of domain
specialists working with her/him.
How do you ensure that quality is maintained?
We have quality management policies and procedures in place
that allow us to maintain high levels of customer
satisfaction.
What are the qualifications of your team?
Our team includes highly qualified graphic artists,
programmers, marketing experts and writers. All our staff
members are college graduates and some of them are post
graduates in their field.
Who owns the code and the Intellectual Property Rights of
the projects done for the clients?
Normally the ownership of IPR and code rests with the client.
What about the legal aspects of IPRs, data protection etc?
What about data protection laws, copyrights and IPRs?
Worldwide copyright laws and IPRs are applicable in India in
most cases. India has a robust and effective legal system, and
most globally accepted ethical practices and legal principles
are applicable in India. The Indian legal system derives
heavily from the British legal system.
